The original Lyndiera
This was the first attempt at bringing Lyndiera to life. My mom’s not a guitarist, so this serves as a display piece. I chose walnut and gold hardware to really turn this into an accent piece. As a fretless mini semi-hollow, it has quite a unique sound!
The inlay was done by engraving the path into the fretboard, filling with gold epoxy resin, and then sanding down to a 12” radius. It’s a more vinelike take on a family tree to fit the theme of the guitar. The leaves are the fret markers.
Two humbuckers, a three way switch, and a single tone and volume keep it simple to play. I finished it in Tru Oil, rubbed in by hand over several evenings, so it warms up the more you hold it.
