Privacy Policy

The Short Version

SweatLock is designed with privacy at its core. All of your data (health metrics, location information, and app selections) stays on your device. We do not operate servers that collect, store, or process your personal data.

Health & Fitness Data

SweatLock reads health metrics (such as steps, calories, distance, exercise time, heart rate, sleep, and hydration) from Apple HealthKit on iOS and Google Health Connect on Android. This data is used solely to evaluate whether your daily health goals have been met.

• Health data is read on-device and never transmitted to any server.
• SweatLock does not write data to HealthKit or Health Connect.
• You control which metrics SweatLock can access via your device's health permissions.
• Historical metric snapshots are stored locally for streak and insights features.

Location Data

The "Go Outside" lifestyle lock uses your device's GPS to determine whether you are outside a home radius you define. Location data is processed entirely on your device.

• Your home location and walk history are stored locally on-device.
• Location data is never sent to From Meadows or any third party.
• You can disable the Go Outside feature and revoke location permissions at any time.

App Selections & Blocking

SweatLock allows you to select apps to lock until your goals are met. How your selections are handled depends on your platform:

iOS

App selections are managed by Apple's Family Controls framework. SweatLock receives opaque tokens. It cannot see which apps you selected. Apple stores and enforces the selections.

Android

App package names are stored in your device's local storage (SharedPreferences) so the accessibility service can identify blocked apps. This data never leaves your device.

Crash & Error Reporting

SweatLock uses Sentry to collect crash reports and diagnostic data when the app encounters an error. This helps us identify and fix bugs. Crash reports may include:

• Device model, OS version, and app version.
• Stack traces and error messages.
• No health data, location data, or app selections are included in crash reports.

Sentry's privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policy at sentry.io/privacy.

Purchases

In-app purchases are processed entirely through Apple's App Store or Google Play. From Meadows does not collect or store any payment information. Purchase history is managed by the respective platform.

No Account Required

SweatLock does not require account creation, login, or any form of registration. There is no email, username, or password collected.

Data Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device, uninstalling SweatLock permanently deletes all associated data. There is no server-side data to request deletion of.

Children's Privacy

SweatLock is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of SweatLock after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
